A fresh start

It sure has been a while since I posted some of my own work up on the blog. I was super busy planning our wedding, but now that the last thank you note has been stamped I've been brainstorming what the next steps are for dot + jim. I put it aside for a bit to focus on building The Nimbus Factory, but I think it's time to hop back in.

As my love for all things wedding grew over the past year, I thought why not expand on that? My inspiration was taken directly from elements of our own wedding- vintage hankies and memorable lyrics.

sweet bay prints: now featuring dot+jim!

Sweet Bay Prints is nestled in the beach community of Santa Rosa Island, just about 15 miles west of Destin. Owner Sherri Lee Scruggs opened up shop back in 2007 and has since then built a strong online presence and storefront. I love the inspiration behind the Sweet Bay name:

The name was inspired by the my favorite tree, the Sweet Bay Magnolia Tree. Its perfect white bloom is inspiring, resembling of a blank canvas where any great design can emerge. The magnolia tree represents all the southern charm and hospitality that Sweet Bay Prints offers to its customers!

Sweet Bay has everything from custom invitations to stamps to beach tunics and towels (and most recently, a hearty selection of dot+jim cards). Visit the site or take a trip to the retail store on the lovely Gulf Coast!

Newbies

Welcome all to my new blog! Most of you probably found me via dotandjim.com (the brand spanking new site). The past few weeks have been dedicated to cranking out new cards, designing the site and working with wonderful web designer, Hope Wallace. I hope to have all my work added soon so it will be completely shopable! Get excited. I sure am.
