colonial cricket

Eddie and I had quite the serendipitous adventure last Saturday. We were driving through Historic Wormsloe and, little did we know, a colonial cricket match happened to be taking place in a nearby field. They were commemorating Georgia state parks by hosting this game the way it was first played, back in the early 1700's. When I say "the way it was first played" I am referring to saucy gents wearing knickers and fancy hats, and carrying rifles.

Above: Eddie at bat. Below: The saucy gent readying himself for a pitch, while I punch a swing.

What a fun day!
